Monica Rexach, Sophia Caraballo and Omar Roman are part of the more than 130,000 Puerto Rican millennials that have moved to the mainland after 2012 to escape the island's struggling economy. All three left Puerto Rico for New York, becoming part of the 798,000 borícuas now eligible to vote in the state.
